In the world of roller derby, skaters pay to play. Your support will help us host bouts and scrimmages, training camps, league uniforms, practice space rental and transportation to other cities for bouts, to name a few things!

Roller derby is currently one of the fastest growing sport in the world, with over 1,200 leagues in the United States and even more worldwide. It is a full-contact sport with attitude and style – nothing is faked or staged. The sport is attracting more fans than ever before. Advertising with us gives you the potential to reach thousands of new customers. We hold our bouts at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex and we also attend and host many events throughout the Piedmont Triad.

A little about us.

Roller derby is a real sport, with real contact. Unlike the roller derby of the 1970s, today's roller derby is not a theatrical performance, but a true showing of strong athletes battling it out on the flat track. GSORD follows the rules set forth by WFTDA, the sport’s international governing body. In addition to training several hours multiple times a week, GSORD skaters participate in fundraising and volunteering for our community.

Greensboro Roller Derby (GSORD) is a vibrant and dynamic flat track roller derby league, established in 2010. GSORD is dedicated to promoting the sport of roller derby, providing a supportive environment for its skaters and fostering a culture of athleticism, community and inclusiveness.

GSORD is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. At each of our bouts, we donate a portion of proceeds to a local charity. We are skater owned and operated, our league runs entirely on the tireless efforts of our volunteers: skaters and non-skaters alike. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for everyone. We could not do this without the support of the community of Greensboro and the Piedmont Triad, our fans, and our sponsors!
